  Home from pulling Aphrodite's chariot you land
  upon my slated window ledge where I extend my hand.
  You peck at my first finger, peck the crumbs upon my saucer
  and for your nest, the basket of my hair brushings I proffer.
  
  In walking should I come upon said nest upon the ground
  delighted I, my hair to spy within its rootlets wound,
  shall but return when frost has browned the grasses like your flock
  raised up and fledged from whitish shells marked thickly with lilac.
