My name is Allan and I have been writing poetry since my early 20's when I was serving as a young sailor in the Royal Navy. I dont regard myself to be an established poet, but I know what I like and I try to write in such a way that I can paint a picture with words...to hope that what I have to say in my poetry will make readers stop and think or maybe remember a long forgotten memory of their own. I dont deal with Stanza'a, I leave that to the experts.I simply write what comes into my head. I am happy to discuss poetry with anyone so you know whwere to find me.
