An Angel 2 Poets
Her spirit flying high
on wings of love,
an angel among us.
Soulful splendor,
a caring whisper.
Her spiritual faith
turned to,
when souls of evil
cross her path.
I gaze
in wonderment
to be one of the lucky ones
blessed
with her friendship.
Good karma
in lives past,
my answer
to good fortune.
As the saying goes,
"In one's life, a little rain must fall"
She'd be the one holding the umbrella
to keep you dry.
Her own guardian angel,
smiling down from Heaven,
nodding in agreement
as he guides her to happiness
within her ever-growing
circle of friends ~

a new poem from my AP Bro and dear friend,
Timothy (Poeticweaver)
"Quintessence
Of An Angel"
She unravels words of silky solace,
sedates souls with sensuous sensations.
Weaving verses; unfurling wondrous dreams,
mending shattered hearts with sweet compassion.
Portraits of pure perfection, dipped in plush,
pleasurable to the poetic eye.
Providing psalms and proverbs of healing,
penetrating the hardened with a sigh.
Crystal collisions in mystical lines,
imbues me with rainbow hues after tears.
Flowery smiles leaving graceful stars,
scintillating art, from her art sincere.
Wings of light flutter, where angels sing hymns,
healing souls with her heart, wounded within.
~~
A beautiful birthday poem from my dear friend and AP Bro tomisb:
My present
Flit, flutter,
flame -- butterfly,
a heart pulse --
pitter patter:
raindrops
children
running feet.
She stops,
smiles,
says I understand.
Called me to join
her family.
leaves recall autumn;
branches grow green with spring;
birthdays dance on calendars;
hers has come again.
Once again, I have no present
large enough to hold my thanks.
I listen.
Hear her
laughter, tears --
all the in-between.
Every once and again,
she lies a poem
on my doorstep.
Flit, flutter, flame
all the candles
dancing in the night sky
May each day open
hearts to hold you.

Artist In Residence
"Artist In Residence"
reads the sign
on her bedroom door,
whilst passionate rendezvous,
dance like fireflies
through the crevices of her mind
Mere recollections
of a stroll through the park,
send words streaming
from soul to quill, in perfect harmony
to a butterfly's beating wings
Her eyes fill with wonder
as each day reveals,
love in different light
and although she may deny it,
if coffee were romance,
her cup would surely runneth over
This artist in residence
is a poet without doubt
and although its been briefly
I feel enriched for making acquaintance
with this angel on earth.

a birthday gift from Colin , my dear friend & AP Bro (fug-azi) :
~The Colour In My Maybes Corner~
II have dwelled long in the grey,
colours stripped from shattered rainbows
that darkened clouds pressed into my soul,
and I have long gazed at the sunrise of your words
spreading warmth across the cold divide,
but never have I dared to mix my palette
with anything more than sorrow,
until, you showed me that dawn can light
even the maybe corners of my thoughts;
add the subtle hues of a fingertips
brushed against a frozen lock of hair,
and release the life held therein.
There are sombre times ebbing
within the sea of my emotions,
but on the beaches, sands of your friendship
break even the raging maelstrom,
and return me to the calm of beauty
that you paint upon my dreams.

Poems by my two favorite famous poets:

from Sonnets from the Portuguese XLIII
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
I love thee to the level of everyday's
Most quiet need, by sun and candlelight.
I love thee freely, as men might strive for Right;
I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.
I love thee with the passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints,–I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life!–and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.
-- Elizabeth Barrett Browning

Nothing Gold Can Stay by: Robert Frost
Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay. ~

For My friends:
Still Blooming~
Fly with me...
Let the stars sprinkle dust
upon our humble halos,
and laugh with me
as caress of cloud
tickles your tender side,
for, we can still be children.
Come, grow in my secret garden;
petals painted in hue of love,
our hearts entwined in vine,
and when your sorrow swells,
emptiness tangled in your tresses,
let my whispered warmth
woo your weary mind,
and if you should fall
into a bed of darkness take my hand,
and go on living
through my borrowed breath,
and should you wake no longer,
feel my friendship still blooming
in flowers at your feet. ♥♥ ♥

A brilliant poem written by my dear friend for many years,
jacob erin-cilberto (Foggy) :
"A Bad Kind of Famous"
just before the shootout
i heard the words,
"put the pen down and walk away from the paper"
but he didn't listen, the poet insistent
on confrontation wrote his mind
and his mind pulled the trigger
and the trigger turned on him
and he was left in a puddle of introspection
and the writing police inspector
left speechless,
tried to conjure up a theme for the fray
but the corpse had silent keys
and the ink had bled out
now the sheet covered his typewriter
and the punctuation police
with sullen faces
called for the white taxi
to take away the poetic victims
of the murder/suicide
and the reporters like cynical critics
wrote the next day's headlines
with deft derision.

♥Here the song that most reminds me of my dear friend, Eloy :
Without You (From The Musical "RENT" by Jonathan Larson
Without you the ground thaws; the rain falls; the grass grows
Without you the seeds root; the flowers bloom; the children play.
the stars gleem; the poets dream; the eagles fly without you;
the Earth turns; the sun burns; but I die without you.
Without you the breeze warms; the girl smiles; the cloud moves;
Without you the tides change; the boys run; the oceans crash.
the crowds roar; the days soar; the babies cry without you.
the moon glows; the river flows; but I die without you.
The World revives; colors renew; but I know blue; only blue;
lonely blue within me blue without you.
Without you the hand gropes; the ear hears; the pulse beats;
Without you the eyes glaze; the legs walk; the lungs breathe;
the mind churns; the heart yearns; the tears cry without you.
Life goes on; but I'm gone; cause I die without you.....

I love you and miss you Eloy♥ May you rest in a bed of Forget-Me-Nots

Always remember, there is beauty in all things! Lynda ♥
