HELP ME!!!!!! I HAVE BEEN SWALLOWED UP BY THIS FAT WOMAN. No just kidding, that really is me over there, and I am proud of every ounce of me . It took me years to achieve this level of good looks. Perfection doesn't come about overnight you know. . Now on to the more serious side of me. Actually, I have a very serious and depressed side, and a very silly and stupid side, but then again, doesn't everyone.

My name is Rebecca, though most people call me Becca for short, but feel free to call me anything you want to. I will answer to anything, well almost anything.

I write poetry usually to get things off of my mind. It is an expression of the way that I am feeling at a particular moment in time. A lot of my work is depressing. I have always had a depression issue, and it has gotten worse since last year. My only brother was killed in an accident. That almost drove me to the brink of insanity. Writing my emotions down, helped me tremendously. There are several poems that are about him. I am venturing into new territory though and trying different topics and styles.

I do love music, all kinds of music. I enjoy going out with my friends and having a good time. I tend to be a clown when I go out. I live in a very small town in Louisiana. I was born in this place, so I guess I will die here too. I know everyone and they all know me. That can be nice or not. Sometimes they know a little too much about me. But then again, they all watch out for me too.

I enjoy fishing, camping, mud-hogging, football, bowling, baseball, and tons of other sports. I do love to be outdoors, and a lot of the things I like are typically things that guys around this area like to do. I never had any sisters, so I was mostly a tomboy. I followed my brother around like he was some kind of pagan god. He was my idol, and still is to some extent. We have about 20 horses, and I just love to ride them. They are beautiful creatures. I do love living in the country, and being from a small town, but it has its bad points too. To go to the movies, I have to drive 45 minutes, and that goes for going bowling, or to the mall. There really isn't much to do in this town, unless I go to the bars, or to the woods. Most people go out of town on weekends just to have something to do.
It does tend to get boring quite a bit around here.

I have 2 nieces and 2 nephews. I simply adore them. I have them so spoiled that their mother can't stand it. (And I am loving it). I do so love children.

I have got to include this in here somewhere. It is a quote from my neice when she was only 6 years old. She had been pestering my mother to stay in the living room with her while she ate her corn dog. My mother was going to try to take a bath while "Tater" (that is my neice's nickname) was eating. Tater wanted to take a bath with her MiMi. My mom said "Baby, MiMi is going to run the bath water while you finish the corndog, then you can come take a bath with me".

Well this wasn't what Tater wanted to hear. Tater replied " No MiMi, please stay in here with me. Don't leave me in here. I want you to sit down with me." All the while I was sitting beside the little imp, but she was wanting her MiMi really bad. My mom finally collapsed on the couch beside Tater, and Tater fell over on my mom. She curled up on mom's lap, and I turned to her and said, "Tate, don't you think you are just a little bit too spoiled?" Tater quickly replied back, "I am not spoiled. I just have an attachment issue is all Aunt Bec." I have to admit, my mother and I both cracked up with laughter. I don't know how she came up with that at only 6 years old. Just thought I would share it with you all.

I am also a workaholic. I have 2 jobs that I work at on a regular basis. And I also have a one that I fill in when someone is sick or needs time off. I guess I am a hopeless case.

Yeah, I am still single, and going to be for a while, it looks like anyways. I can't seem to find anyone that I can put up with for longer than 5 minutes or it may be vice versa. I am not so sure on that one. Well that is enough about me. Oh, and my favorite quotes are from the Bible.

"The Lord is good, His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endureth to all generations" Psalms 100.

"Now abide these three, Faith, Hope, and Love. But the greatest of these is Love". 1 Corinthians 13.

Hey, Hey, Hey, I got an AP brother so go check out his work. He's great. His name is Timothy, AKA poeticweaver. Go and read his stuff, yeah, it's amazing.

Here are a few poems that are very special to me, especially since they were written for me by a few of my friends on AP.

that someone who is funny (for kjack)

She is just another poet
and always on this site,
to get her simple message
is a pure delight.

we have never met
and only chat a little,
but she is such fun
her comments never belittle.

her heart is gentle
and mind so clear,
that is why she
deserves this cheer.

kjack is fun
a fine poet too,
this is to show
I appreciate you.

by carlspenc1
Thanks so much carlspenc1 for this sweet poem. My words couldn't express the happiness this write brings to me.

My friend kjack

I have the greatest online friend,
Through the net we chat and type,
To one another we confide in,
She's an absolute wonderful delight.

She brightens up my day,
In the kind words she will say,
She has ths great big huge heart,
Her inner beauty is always displayed.

I wished that we lived closer by,
Just so I could go bug her to say "hi,"
We could do all the fun things together,
Like lunch and that, things treasured friends do everyday.

Here's a great big hug to you my friend,
((((((((((Becca)))))))))))))))))
I appreciate the friend you are to me,
And all the nicest things you always say,
You always seem to make me smile every single day!

's to you MissSpunky43536 for this wonderful poem. You will never know what your friendship means to me.

Now I lay me down to sleep

K nowledge and reason were always there,
yet a void had filled me with despair,
J ust the thought of laying my pen to rest,
had filled this poet with new found zest,
A hunger to capture new thoughts and dreams,
with descriptive tales of how the world seems,
C arousel feelings of up and down
give me reason to smile and reason to frown,
K indhearted poets came to all wish me well
when my pen had grown tired and sat for a spell.

This beauty was written by oneslowtyper. It was written for a contest I had held to inspire me to write again. I had a horrible writer's block. Well this sure inpired me to write, along with the other 163 entries.

To a Beautiful Friend

A pure and loving heart,
Her poetry is a beautiful display
Of her talent like fine art,
Beautiful words she uses,
To describe such emotions,
A beautiful friend from the start.

Guilt she carries along the way,
She had no power or a voice
For her brother who passed away,
The closeness they shared,
Breaks her heart and soul,
He calms her in her dreams as she lays.

She searches for comfort from the pain,
Her brother knows she's not too far away,
He is now her guardian angel
Who watches out for her and is closely beside her,
He knows that he resides in her thoughts,
She need to know that she's still in his heart.

My friend I want you to know,
You don't have to carry this guilt anymore,
I understand your pain,
If I could, I would take it all away,
Just reminisce the precious memories,
The ones that make you smile everyday!

This one is very emotional for me. It was written for me by MissSpunky43536 on a day that I was very depressed about losing my brother. Her friendship has been a Godsend for me since I have been here on AP. Thank you so much MissSpunky(Kel)for all of your support, and most of all for your friendship. You will never know how much I appreciate it.

K JACK
by Onyx Fire Tear

Kindred spirits find their way to you
Just as everyone else does
Always the lady
Caring, loving and ever devoted
Kissing away the shreds of pain

(sniffles a bit)This is the most beautiful acrostic a person could have written for me. You are truly a blessed poet, and it is an honor to call you a friend, Onyx Fire Tear. I will treasure this always in my heart.

Here are a couple more poems by a friend of mine Richard or on here Astralshepherd. They are just incredibly beautiful.

1.

the sun
stopped
in the sky today
and no one noticed
the world stood
stone still
and people
kept their own pace
swirling along
in their own space
oblivious
to the cataclysm
in my heart
with expectant
fragile hopes
so small
only a God could see
how much he
will be missed
and he has gone
and I am left
frozen in time

2.

I stand here in the bright morning light
as the day begins as it always has
within the folds of time's memories
remembering how my life used to be

my body reacts as I see back in time
feeling the gentle touch of rose petals
soft spoken secrets whispered so close
such are the memories of his hand in mine

my knees bend at the weight of the pain
but find steel to stand as I ought to do
I do wonder, though, when it's still in the night
moments of longing and lingering here

why did this have to happen to him?
and why did it not happen to me?
questions at times only a God can answer
A God who one day I will see

There way off in the long distant future
he will be standing with Him waiting for me
Hope is all any one can ask for
to one day embrace life to the fullest

'Til that day I search the crowds for his face
mocking myself for being so foolish
heart beats locked in combat with thoughts
and each day I search in the clouds for grace.

These were written in a couple of comments on my work, and just brought me to tears with their beauty. May God Bless You Richard.

AD FINEM

On the white throat of the useless passion
That scorched my soul with its burning breath
I clutched my fingers in murderous fashion,
And gathered them close in a grip of death;
For why should I fan, or feed with fuel,
A love that showed me but blank despair?
So my hold was firm, and my grasp was cruel-
I meant to strangle it then and there!

I thought it was dead. But with no warning,
It rose from its grave last night, and came
And stood by my bed till the early morning,
And over and over it spoke your name.
Its throat was red where my hands had held it;
It burned my brow with its scorching breath;
And I said, the moment my eyes beheld it,
"A love like this can know no death."

For just one kiss that your lips have given
In the lost and beautiful past to me,
I would gladly barter my hopes of Heaven
And all the bliss of Eternity.
For never a joy are the angels keeping,
To lay at my feet in Paradise,
Like that of into your strong arms creeping,
And looking into your love-lit eyes.

I know, in the way that sins are reckoned,
This thought is a sin of the deepest dye;
But I know, too, if an angel beckoned,
Standing close by the Throne on High,
And you, adown by the gates infernal,
Should open your loving arms and smile,
I would turn my back on things supernal,
To lie on your breast a little while.

To know for an hour you were mine completely-
Mine in body and soul, my own-
I would bear unending tortures sweetly,
With not a murmur and not a moan
A lighter sin or lesser error
Might change through hope or fear divine;
But there is no fear, and hell has no terror,
To change or alter a love like mine.

Okay, I think that is enough info for a while. There is just so much to say, but not enough time to write everything on here. I may come back later and add some more info about myself. I am not quite as boring as I appear. I just had a birthday on January 16th. I turned 31 years old.

Crying I am becoming an old woman, but I did get id'd at the casino my cousin took me too. I wanted to take the security officer home for being so sweet as to id me. Amazing, the places where we meet friends . Okay, I really have to go now, but I'll be back I promise you that one.
