I feel as if I wreak havoc
-
Some days I wonder if my heart will ever be quite whole

To think this all started because Literature - who we both knew -
-
I wanted to hug a tree tonight -

We turn away, not realizing
-
Once soaring through endless stretches
of diamond-studded velvet black night,

The pictures people paint
with their words are garish:

I wonder:
do you ever think about

We never had fields of gold,
only

I expected you would stoop
-
I watch my tears creep slowly
down a sheet of paper at the same
-
It's only because of the snow
that this landscape is beautiful now.

I don’t know what to say to you
now that you’re gone, now that
