-
I fall without my heart and with my mind
I try to find the sunshine once you gave,
-
The raindrop, slowly, happy, round
Will not be seen or let to pass.
-
A dream of the senses, I wake and I stir.
My head swirling backwards with thoughts in a blur.
-
Somewhere,
The night is on the run
-
Will lick the life of souls they haunt
And feed the angels foes.
-
With feelings still falling,
I wake every morning
-
Murky and ridded with rot and with tears,
The love of a lifetime is muddled with fears.
-
The sun dips below,
With a brilliant glow,
-
-
The girl, not a woman, of only thirteen,
Walking her fingers from stone across stone,
-
Twisting and flirting, with purposeful steps to be made
-
Freedom still living well, strong in my veins.
Crystal air, sprinkled fair, cool in my chest,
-
Then steal away within his screaming mind
To sooth the pain, to let his brain unwind
-
He comes out only once a night,
To feed upon a child,
-
His eyelids shut but still he looked above.
With doom and death his life was thus bestrode,
-
A blaze of light between the leaves falls quickly to the ground,
And on the grass the sunlight weaves bright patterns all around.
-
Stiff and stark the sunlights rays fall harshly on the plane
Drying out and baking hard a land devoid of rain.
-
His blades held cocked in deathly style he sprung upon the foe,
Within their midst with flame and fist he set their veins aglow.
-
Regret for loss, of times forgot and love I cannot find,
-
I always thought I knew
That if it weren’t for you
-
And in my sleep, fall foul of dreams I do,
For frosty falls the warmest dream of you
-
And desperate, within my walls, the confines of my heart,
I search for love and spirits high, before such joys depart.
-
We most agree, it’s best to be, if jaws can have his lunch,
A bogan here, a poet there, and lawyers by the bunch.
-
To feel the air between your toes,
Two feet above the floor.
-
It’s brilliant, a master piece,
Its better work than mine at least,
-
Though freed
I cannot see
-
Growing contradiction,
Affliction of mind,
-
Hate becomes hunger,
Thunder and pain,
-
And then I spoke,
For not but just while
-
All that once could come,
And all you’ve never done
-
The dry and crusty air,
Sprinkled, across the dark and dusty night,
-
Touch with love this heart of mine,
And drift with me, this one last time.
-
-
Crushing all the hateful and bitter of kind.
Breaking the distorted and twisted of mind.
-
Drifted and timeless,
Lifeless, forlorn.
