-
Once upon a time, not so long ago,
-
Lost in thought,
Floating away.
-
The blindness of this drink,
Makes it very hard to see,
-
My feeling are in words,
So simple for you to see,
-
Sometimes I want to give up,
When I lose too much faith,
-
I saw you today,
And we had a chat,
-
I try to forget you,
I try to ignore,
-
If I could find the words to say,
To tell you how I feel,
-
I think I'm going mad,
In fact I know that I am,
-
Everyday I wake,
And start the day the same,
-
How can I write my poetry,
When I dont know how I feel,
-
My wounds were not visible,
But they scarred just the same,
-
Its been a while since you talked to me,
I thought you'd gone for good,
-
To all my friends,
Old and new,
-
The dark despair that fills my soul,
My never ending search to fulfill this goal,
-
The wraith like swirls,
That leave my lips,
-
The thunder from the black storm clouds in the sky,
Rolled across the sea like the murderous waves beneath them,
-
I'm sorry for what I did,
Though I'm yet to work out what,
-
I know I said I would,
And I keep on trying,
-
-
Sitting at home,
Tears in my eyes,
-
Like a shadowy villain,
In some evil plot ridden film,
-
The best poem I have ever written,
Is the one I can never write,
-
If the world had no poets,
Silence would reign.

Like the lifting of a shroud,
From over my soul,
-
I try to care about all,
No matter, friend or foe,
-
I looked into the sky,
Thinking of what could be,
-
What this world needs,
Is an answer to itself,
-
I was walking with Death one day,
He said that he had troubles
-
As it got nearer to Valentines,
I was going to write a poem,
-
When ever I ask you a question,
You do not always reply,
-
I was walking down the street one day,
Death was by my side,
-
I get out on the open road,
And twist the throttle full,
-
Looking across the bar, I spied you there,
You caught my eye, and flashed me a smile,
-
Just like in the game,
I'm never set square,
