Weight of perception,
squeezing containment,
-
Cracking cedar bound with tarnished
-
-
shackled down
behind my clenching frown
-
And so it spins
this grain of blue

-
cold wind blows angry
fresh white snow subdues landscape
-
A broken heart
follows love's carcass
-
smashed, shattered
and splintered
-
The organ plays a funeral's stale dirge
as feet march forward, slow, in time, to song
-
my mind
like a green glass bottle
-
She lines her men up
row, upon row
-
Ghostly,
her kiss still tingles
-
Tears cascade;
each one, a jewel of sorrow,
-
Where water runs, the soul will follow. A haiku.

The path forks, left or right?
-
Reborn!
oblivious to self
-
We dwell in prisons of our own making...
-
This is the first poem that I had written after a 10 year hiatus from writing.
Drop by drop
-
Their teeth glint with avarice
Wide open maws before them
-
Feminine tactics in modern relationships.
-
What will the final cost of freedom be?
-
-
Those mystical morning moments...
