heart happy in one place
feet still travelling

I dreamt I was in Padstow for night-song in the square / When suddenly I saw folk I knew could not be there / I heard them too, their voice
-
Each day a promise -
a routine mix of the ordinary and extra-ordinary
-
body language begins as a hesitant whisper then finally sings in syncronicity
-
-
I was light on your horizon
and your shore on the storm's lee
-
has spread warm, bright colours
in a glorious pattern
-
-
-
Movement
denied; nerves scarred.
-
my feet itch to travel
the well-worn paths
-
-
dancing on blue breathing sea
the waves sigh turquoise
-
The scent of winter jasmine
floats down through the boughs
-
like Midas you turn
my own poetic soul to liquid gold
-
like quicksilver on my breast his breath chills me,
while his whispers of undying love warm my heart
-
Thank you for being the friend
who found me just in time
-
Oh my Love my heart is full of stars
and my eyes are filled with dew
-
his soul quenching itself at the bright grail of her smile
she will stop time for the last time to hear him murmur
-
-
just a thought, but
I probably don't really mean it
-
Wear a poppy, bloody red,
Stand and mourn for each man dead.
-
memories return
waves on my shore
-
your children rise in violence
dark in both thought and deed
-
Eyes seeing straight through
the fences of conversation

this is a reposting of a contest poem, just so it shows on my general listings page

and we each walked our own way
through fallen autumn leaves
-
I watch
the autumn leaves turn from green
-
I find I have given Autumn
over to you
-
This sand
too soft and fluid to hold
-
if the Dotcom Revolution
had predated the Civil War?
-
do we lie, heart to heart, soul to soul
mouth to mouth, resuscitating ou past
-
the cursor's pulsing anticipation
is my heart beat
-
your chosen words flash across the screen
like a warm breath fleetingly teasing
