I was asked to write a poem
About the man who holds my heart -
In winter time I can’t stand the line
-
Choices for the Moon Trip.
-
For this piece I have chose to write
'bout the sculpture symposium -
On Wednesdays I go get up and go into the hall
but what the mirror shows me doesn't look like me at all
-
This bloody Aussie lingo’s damn confusin'
whatever normal word or phrase yer choosin'. -
Well Mia was gettin real narky
With R bowers sludgy ole loo -
The judges are all seated out the front,
Their drinking is already under way. -
the bed is not so comfy and
the loo is not so clean -
Aunt Joan, what’s this I hear?
Are you really going away? -
I'm angelica's deputy,
So you better all behave, -
I am feeling overwhelmed,
In my life I'm drowning. -
A child is a blessing,
Sent from up above, -
-
\I'm so tired,
I can not sleep.\ -
DAY ONE.
I step into the evening breeze -
Today is my birthday,
I'm turning twenty-four. -
I had a fluffy white kitten,
her name was Snowy Two. -
I once had a parrot,
Harry was his name. -
She was sweet, she was innocent,
she was barely nine. -
I was such a happy little girl,
I was happy and free. -
My belly is round,
my ankles are swollen. -
The moon shines brightly,
from behind patches of cloud. -
I look across our sun burnt land,
not a tree, not a shrub, -
I was a foetus when you left, my mother was alone. Bruised and battered at the best, our future was un-known. My brother was just a baby, <B
