I vacantly sit alone, watching the little pond in the darkness of the night. I don't know why I even bothered. Nothing would ever cleanse my soul.
I watch the early dew drip from the weeping willow's leaves and fall, sparkling, into the pond.
I am almost in tears, about to stand and storm off, when I feel the wind tousling my hair and a loud crash.
I smiled gleefully. He had come.
He appeared before me smiling, silver scales gleaming in the moonlight.
I ran to him and swung my arms around his long neck. I was finally free.
Author notes
I think this one's better than my first attempt, 'Interesting Book'. Tell me what you think.

I don't think Interesting Book was bad, but I do like this one better. Maybe it's just the fantasy element, though. I see you won a trophy! Right on.

Thank you.

Actually, it is a story. A story form called a drabble that is no more and no less than 100 words.

You really have me interested in this book you're writing that you've mentioned. One of my greatest loves are Dragons. I'd really like to know more and if you are posting it anywhere or publishing. I'd be sure to try to read it.

It reminds me of one of my character's own dragon when they lost each other during... nevermind. That book isn't quite finished yet. -sheepish smile-

I like them both personally. The other one was more romantic whilst this one is more of a peaceful one. I don't know how to describe it really but yeah. WOnderful job sweets.
