Seeing now the reason
forgetting all I'd learned
leapt into the fire
and oh the flame it yearned
to touch my pale skin
to taste me once again
consuming and destoying
blackened cold and dead

Things would be a lot different in the world today if Americans still knew how to read. Unfortunately, the great unwashed masses have given up reading and only get their information from TV. No wonder Bush won the election.

If only everyone had the depth and intelligence to see beyond the propaganda fed to them via the western media - it might be a safer place to live.
Fantastic write that says 'everything' in a very minimal way.

This is a very good poem, great read and interesting, the flow is good and it keeps its reader interested from begining to end, well done,good structure , I would like to see some more of yours, very interesting write-

I really swear, do you know me somehow? Cause that poem seems to match me perfectly. Mind you, my pc took like an hour loading it so I was thinking to myself "it better be good after all that" but I read it and its more then good. Its awesome! Seriously, you must write more. I love this poem and if the rest of your poems are like (style wise) this I will deffintely want to read them.

If I didn't know better I'd swear you were talking about me lol. Interesting poem though but, in all honest there is a great of propaganda involved in the expression of anyones' opinions. Even though it shouldn't stop one from enjoying a tale or two. Please critic a poem. -
