Walking To Heaven

I have found the path that leads to Jesus,
with many  hidden dangers along the way,
now I must walk the straight and narrow,
to arrive in Heaven on judgement day.

Each day I awake and thank our dear Lord,
for the blessings he has bestowed on me,
as I kneel and pray I always say to Him,
Lord I love and adore You so faithfully

There are days when I am tired and so weary,
that's when my faith comes shining through,
I ask God to send me strength to pick me up,
that is when God makes me feel brand new.

I can see God all around, He is everywhere,
He is in the sounds of nature in the spring,
and in the cry of a new born girl or boy,
God created the universe He is in everything.

I do not know when this journey will end,
only God knows how much farther I must go,
walk with me my dear friend part of the way,
kiss me good by when it is time for me to go.

I wrote this for my dear friend Jason  who led me to Christ and who  has continued to help grow my faith and love for God. .

    This is a journey which can never end Sandy..the pursuit of God begins with good thoughts...good deeds and a clean mind..the day the world does the above three God will be truly omnipresent omnipotent and omniscient..till then we ourselves need to keep walking..your poem brings to light the need for faith in God and does so spiritually..and anyone who reads this will be convinced...a power of your writing..Shubs

I only wish I had found His love sooner. But it's been 6 months since I gave my life to Jesus Christ, six months of peace and the love of God. God bless you and take care, Sandy

    although the path is straight and narrow to heavens gate remember this along your way, christ has covered you in every way every step and every breath. you will have a special calling on your life that stears you away from things of this world and calms you in peace as you walk your days on earth with him in your heart. Never, never wish your days to end for we have so much here we can do to share his wealth, his love and mercy and grace in each and all days.
