Green Without Envy

Without envy I am Green,
An Opera and Play with a scene.
Some call me hot, some a guest,
If I stay too long I become a pest.
Colors you want-- I maybe White,
Yellow, pink, blue, dark or light.
Jimi Hendrix calls me "a red...over yonder"
That's the last clue you may ponder.
