Sunsets and Clouds

I am the sunsets and the clouds.
I wonder who pays attention to me.
I hear the wind whisper under my arms.
I see the people in oblivion.
I want my natural beauty to be seen.
I am the sunsets and the clouds.

I pretend to be happy in my little sky.
I feel the pressure building around me.
I touch my face in hopes it would change.
I worry about how I'll look tomorrow.
I cry for the other beautiful skies.
I am the sunsets and the clouds.

I understand I'm just a pretty picture.
I say nobody really looks at me.
I dream about the days I'll be appreciated.
I try to remain patient for the time being.
I hope people will eventually love natural beauty.
I am the sunsets and the clouds.

Author notes

This poem was written the other day for my creative writing class. I only had 10 min to write it, so sorry if it sounds a little generic
