A Familiar Road

Somewhere along the road to success,
I have forgotten how to live.
Creating a life full of regret...
Unhappy with all that I have achieved.
Trying hard not to let them in,
They cannot see the truths that lye beneath.

Welcome to a place of chaos and destruction,
A world that truly mirrors my own dysfunction.
It exists in harmony, where no one is allowed to see
All that has become close to me.
Running away will remain easier than owning up to the mistakes.
Though I need to, it's just too hard to change.

I need no one for no one needs me.
Such silly things we tell ourselves,
Praying that they'll believe.
I'll give you everything but you must realize,
In the end everyone leaves.
Walk away knowing, that for a time I loved you...
More than anything.
Leave me all alone, lost along such a familiar road.
