Dakishimetai (A Love Poem)

Why do you cry my lady?
Your tears like crystal drops.
Why do you sit among these trees
beside these simple rocks?

Why do you cry my lady?
Your face so cold and pale
Your tears speak volumes.
Though voice and word may fail.

Why do you cry my lady?
With pain locked deep inside.
Trembling with loneliness
abandonment reside.

What secrets hide my lady?
Behind those gloomy eyes
Lingering scars of heartbreak
Long days filled with lies.

Cry no more my lady.
I am here for you.
To wash away the tears you feel.
To give my heart so true.

I hold you close my lady.
Soft in warm embrace.
I love you so my lady.
Life struggles you have faced.

Sleep soundly now my lady.
Your face so calm and sweet.
Sit beside you silently.
Until morn's light you meet.
