The dripping faucet keeps time.
"I
   don't
           love
                   you."
The droning television gives color to the dark room.
"I
   don't
           love
                   you."
The stillness of my mind adds harmony to the atmosphere.
"I
   don't
           love
                   you."

.

.

my breaths soften the air
make it suitable for my tears
.

.

your words were like a stopper
my soul has nowhere to go

it bounces around this empty shell
whispering in my ear

i know what it is saying
although i cannot hear

clearly it utters
clearly and silently

drip
      drip
              drip

"I
    don't
            love
                    you."

i do

.
