Some Artists Paint Me Human (A Riddle)

I am a flower, fish, stone,
Shine, or light with many phases.
Sharp, shadowed, curled, blue, thin --
When felt, my draw is fully curious
On people, fish, animals, and oceans.
Some artists paint me human
With eyes, nose, and a smile.
Others, plain like a jumping cow
Who "falls" just short of pronouncing me.  (1999)

    ah... easy. I like easy... for a while at least. It may be a phase I'm going through but I like a change about every few weeks.

    Alrighty... continuing on my commenting spree. I really liked this one, the answer is such a wonderous thing, really mysterious like and... yeah. I should be quiet. It's so hard to leave great comments without giving away the answers! This one had a different rythm than most of yours have, but I liked it, it goes really well. Great work!
