I am who I am
Cant you simply see...
I am who I am
That which the Goddess has given to me...
I am who I am
The normal kid who lies asleep at night...
I am who I am
Simply here putting up my little fight.
Those who were, just were.
Sadness of the innocent blood they spilt.
Those who were, only were.
Feel the sadness for lives that have wilted away.
Those who were, had been.
Maybe the best person that you've ever seen.
But they've gone now...
Because of what you thought.
What you knew...
...Was entirely wrong
'Cuz we are the same I and you
You and I...
But I just love nature...every tree
Every firefly...
My belief...What I will believe.
Not your belief...I cannot conform.
Because I am who I am
But still know that I am part of a norm.
Hey...I am just writing this cuz I want to...Not for any points...I just hope you like it...and people understand what we are...not vile and hateful...but simply people with a different view of life.
It's NOT AN ENTRY.

The repetition in this played havoc with the rhythm and would have been better without it as far as the poetic form of this. However, your feelings of being oppressed and disenfranchised come across very clearly. Passing on your emotions is the heart of poetry.

I completely understand, excellent job though, I hope that one day people will realize that our way of life may be different but is one that is here to stay.
