~by Gregg Rowe~
My Christmas poem dedicated to all my ~allpoetry.com~ angels who were there for me whenever I called upon them the most.
These friends were complete strangers in my life --
As they beared witness to my daily pains
My illness does not change -- try as I might --
This dis-ease will become my claim to fame.
My friends are angels -- candles in my nights
Energized by joy with powerful rays,
My dark path lit by their love and white light --
And comforting wishes for better days.
Within my heart, I've kept these candles lit
Practicing my faith -- they never go out,
Their words of empathy, wisdom and wit
Prevents doors opening for any doubt
Through friends penning, -- I gain strength back in faith
And angel wing kisses release my pain

Author notes
I am appkying with the above poem to be in your AP family. I would like to be your pet dog, cat, or even goldfish. It I cannot be your pet, I will accept the position of brother since my gender and sex makes it completely impossible to be your sister.
As I did my traditional ride of coming to Ottawa to be with my friends during this holiday season, and again, being chauvered, it gave me the opportunity to pen this during the four hour ride down and think of all the friends I have had the opportunity to journey this road with. Thank you my angels here, for the precious memories and poetry -- wisdom and wit. I love each and every one of you and with all my heart and wish the best to you, your family and all your friends. This year, say hi to a stranger, you never know who you are going to meet. Gregg
