What was that?
Was that an introduction?
An interest pure and earnest,
an honest glance,
inquisitive,
organic meeting of two minds,
“agenda-less” desire to meet,
a bond under construction?
Or..
Was that an introduction?
to hormone driven blind desire,
a quenchless thirst
with hunger pangs,
cut to the chase in hot pursuit;
details be damned, don’t hesitate,
right now, let’s fuck seduction?
Or .
Was that an introduction?
the naked harbinger reveals
a hungry heart,
an empty soul,
loneliness lost in denial,
meandering into abyss,
a “B’ movie production?
What was that?

You really have a way with words
“Organic meeting of minds” - I always thought love is not just physical or emotional but also intellectual. In a way, your poem defines all three facets of attraction (Is it not the first step) - Intellectual, emotional and physical, each appealing to a particular need.

This is an interesting write, but also a sad write. I'd never visited a singles' bar*, but I guess sometimes loneliness motivates people to go there ... I'll be in great trouble there, because I have no clue of body language (meta-language) ... and I just love to observe people, wondering about their personalities and their dreams ...

lol...I completely understand the feeling of not knowing what guys are doing. Who understands them anyway...they say one thing and mean another throwing us on an endless rollercoaster that throws our lives upside-down trying to figure out what they really mean when they say the stupid things they say.
