Sleepy

Sleepy

I've had such a day
I need to take a nap
That silly mouse got away
And I was such a sap.

I forgot about that hole
In the corner of the room
I ran him through the kitchen
And almost to his doom

He gave me quite a run
I thought I had him once
But he rounded the corner
It made me quite the dunce.

So I'll take my nap now
I need a little sleep
I'll get back to him later
I'll have a stronger leap.

That little cad I'll get
I'll be on him so fast
Before he can realize
I'm onto him at last.

Then we will have
His funeral march
His little body
Stiff as starch.

Right now I'll take my nap
Refresh my self a bit
And when I awaken
I'll then be much more fit.

LOL Thank you, Shinichiro. Does that mean my normal poems are traumatic? LOL Actually, I like to put in a few at times that even children can relate to. I hope you'll read more. Hugs, Patricia

Just remember this: If they ever get loose, make sure you check the garbage disposal before turning it on. LOL

    yet another good job

Crazy cat. Cute poem. Makes me want two of those two little white mice I've been thinking of getting. I'd name them George and Lenny after the characters from Of Mice and Men.

Thank you, Nick. I have several poems much like this. I do different types of poems, and I think you'll like some of them.

I'm sorry your hamster died. I got all four of my children hampsters when they were little. One got away, and we couldn't find him until I turned on the garbage disposal. Oops! It was pretty sad. I'll check out your work. Thanks again and hugs, Patricia
