Age shouldn't matter
For life to choose its ways
To be a racist and believe it
Age shouldn't matter
For one day of peace
To declare peace on land
Age shouldn't matter
To be treated like a human
To be mature because of time
Age shouldn't matter
For the intelligence to kick in
To understand gravity
But yet age matters
To be able to work
To be respected by adults...
Author notes
#1...id like to be judged by my intelligence not age

True, so true.... -
hmmm... i like... on a topic usually conveyed under a cloak of ironic immaturity, this was more than tolerable... thank you for saying what we all know, but not the way we say it! age is very unconditional to some people and when someone can transcend preconcieved boundaries with a show of maturity such as you, i get a warm tingly feeling... mmm, fuzzy... kudos

It's a good thing to want. but with age, comes itelligence, and that's something that needs to be respected aswell. I'm not saying jsut cuz your young, you're stupid, hell I'm only 18. just dont think age has got nothing to do with it. either way nice piece, tho I found it really distracting that you ended two senteces in a row with ways in the first stanza. other than that I thought it was great. well done. respects to the pen.
