i was certain I had commented on this before. It is interesting the above comment appears to be someone showing off their scripture knowledge as opposed to their faith. I know many people who can spout scripture til the cows come home but have not a clue what any of it really says.
Your simple haiku speaks louder than his 5 point comment.

So, why have you projected "sarcasm"? Your attitude and 'preaching to the choir' is very revealing. Why do you feel the need to do that?

You said something VERY significant, Maatkara

You are right, Maatkara...However, I think I detect a hint of sarcasm in your posts...So, let's dig a tad deeper into the Bible, shall we?

Matthew 4:4--"Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceedeth from the mouth of God."

What does it mean? Simple....It is not enough just to read your Bible--you must hear from God too.

Also, this passage speaks of Divine Revelation....

John 1:14a--"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us..."

You talk about full of spiritual suggestivity! This is loaded to the max! This is two-fold here: Jesus IS the Word--DEMONSTRATED!

So...He's both the word and the demonstration of it! Two wrapped into one! A double-wammy! So, when you use the term "Word", you are, in actuality, speaking of one thing:

Jesus--the COMBO of both the faith and Word!!!

Stop a minute though....John said Jesus WAS the Word! In that case, what is faith? Is Jesus faith as well???!

Hebrews 11:1--"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for; the evidence of things not seen"

Does not scripture adjure us to have hope in Jesus? Did not Jesus manifest Himself on the earth?

YES! He DID! Therefore---He is not only the Word--He IS faith as well....!!

I am reminded of the words of an Indian philosopher J Krishnamurti, who said that "Truth has no path, and that is the beauty of truth, it is living." He meant to say that truth is not a static thing which has a path, but something living and moving.
One could go on saying that truth is realization, experience, enlightenment... but in the end, one concludes with what you have written above: it is nothing but the WORD. No substitutes for it!
    Very well written.
    Best wishes
    Saurabh.

    Truth is Powerful

    John 4:24
"God is Spirit and those who worship him must worthsip him in Spirit and Truth." Truth is such a strong and powerful word.

Truth and Deceit are at war every day in the hearts of people. And each of us decides which guides our life.

Aha! Beautiful! Aum is precious. There are many meanings to the word "Aum". One of them is invocation to God. Aum is truth. Very powerful haiku.

Hi Tron ~ Perhaps if you click 'view all' next to the Comments heading above and read the comments from the first response, it may help clear your apparent confusion (presumption?).

    Poetically, I'm not sure.

I don't think the God changes and contradicts Himself as He would if all the opposing concepts in your poem were really true. Feel free to respond.

I agree with one of the comments above; Tao the way to the truth. That is the title of a book I read many years ago.
Again you have said a lot using so few words. I'm always impressed with your way of thinking and showing your thoughts

I wish you all the best for Christmas Gennelle! A shower of blessings for you

Yes Mike, you are right of course! The Word is God is Love!
As you indicate, that is the perennial problem perpetuated by those hung up on 'words' and their own presumptions and preconceptions attached to them. Free will always, i.e. always a choice.

But as I said, 'no words can answer'.

many times i have talked of the WORD with witnesses and whomever would think without prejudice . . interpretation is different and yet held complete by faith . .so different from zen where faith does not hold the balancing position
I think the word is "LOVE" . . my oppinion only tho . .lol..
some say it was jesus . . but that means from the beginning it was ordained . . and i cannot believe we are pre ordained . .else my purpose would be non existant ?! choice? what choice ?
smiles . .this piece is beautiful in sentiment for me tho . .i know what you meant and i reckognise the intent

    Just being me
    huruuu

Indeed they do! Like the symbol of the Tau cross (19th letter of the Greek alphabet; last letter of the Hebrew, tov), known as St. Anthony's cross, had its origin in Egypt.
Symbols have incredible depths and levels of meaning.

at the very core of this, and it's just my slant, I felt a parallet to Tao .. "the way" which is often presented in a similar fashion. I like to think all religions stem back to the same root

definately a real thinker you are

    Insightful

I am still astounded by this one, Gennelle, and it's many hours since my first reading. The scene is Jesus' examination by Pilate, who asks the question. The answer has already been given, but he has not heard; and so, the world falls in two parts. This is a masterpiece, succinct, obvious and hidden.
