there upon a moonchild’s night
when two were feeling things so right
the songs and wine and loving touch
how could two-divided share so much?
after watching in the sky for
stars and u.f.o.’s
we found the place within our hearts where every lover goes
as the moonlight gave away to dawn
we slept as one till night was gone
so much like a dream how we melted into one
flying high on the power of love right into the sun
as we found our rhythms flow into a symphony
complete with angelic choirs that set our bodies free
closer still unto the sun where words are never used
coming now to the golden one our bodies so amused
with super-nova mega force we lived the night as one
lovers bodies intertwined headlong into the sun
as our touches came to know the magic of their goal
could there be another who has made love with his soul?
we so tired and sleepy from a night in outer space
fell closer still beneath a cover of blue lace
as we slept we dreamed the same story
we had a day of magic smiles and a summer night of glory
when sleep was thru we smiled sleepily
i laughed aloud when you said “tell your dreams to me”
reality, has many points but few i see as right
dreams though on the other hand give us our path and light
what is a dream today could be alive tomorrow
even when we lose our way our dreams can ease our sorrow
i tell you that we touched you know i wouldn’t lie
it really meant so much you see to take you in the sky
for me there’s barely room for anyone
because with you i see and feel the power of the sun

very nice. the only 'problem' i would have or critique is the ufo's. just didnt go well with the flow of it. i dont know. seems sort of out there. but all in all, a good job. enjoyed. was worth the read.

I once wrote a sonnet that went to the tune of Clair De Lune. I'm not sure how it worked out, i was only in 5th grade, but to my parents it was good. You actually made me go back and read that poem, and listen to the piece (which i used to play on piano), this poem fits SOOO much better than mine. Great work. Great music (i just love it), and great combination. Keep Writing!!!

Until we’re all wrap as one within the divine light
And we all sail the wings of heaven once again

I never know what is going to be a long song
Or a long epic ballad this is why I love and cherish all your tender advice

To the voices within the never ending skies

To touch upon our souls
Is to erase the memory of time
For thoughts travel as one
And we’re creatures of the mind
I felt a bond warm and true
Still there is a haze on
The real story about you
I've dreamed of a time where
Wisdom exceeds greed
Where beauty is plenty
And no man in need
Tenderly you fit the pattern
I've prayed

When I’m turned on I just rush in one over flow

Oh my goodness, Sharron! This is such a stunningly good write: every one of my senses were touched, the beauty of the scene drawing me ever toward it to embrace flawless love. This piece is excellent, exquisite, and absolutely perfect. Even as an editor, I could find no flaw: you dipped your perfect quill deep into God's gold ink and weaved wonderous words into the most elegant tapestry: one I'm sure everyone would love to hang on their wall. I know I would!
I will say, I simply don't feel that it should have been categorized under Adult and Erotic. I see neither here: Love, yes; Spiritual, yes; even Hope. I fear that many will miss this wonderous piece simply because of the categories chosen. I know that if I had noticed the classifications, I would not have read it.
This poem simply must be given the gold; otherwise, I would have to wonder what the contest host was thinking if it does not place. Good luck! Not that true talent needs any luck.
