A World of Poetry

It skipped my mind

Endless poetry
Through fingers
Dancing
On its dance floor
My keyboard
Look at them dance

I realize then
That poetry
Is the music
Of words

Words of Wisdom

It speaks to us
Without a voice
But with wisdom

It sings to us
Without an instrument
But with melody

It teaches us
Without a license
But with respect

Every day poetry
A lesson every day

For we all
Learn every second
Of every minute
Of every hour
Of every day
Of every week
...
In other words
We will never stop learning

The eldest of all men
Learn because of young minds
Exploring a changing world
Every day

The youngest of children
Learn because of wise minds,
Who experienced most things
In their lives.

I thank my poetry
Of opening my world

New colors jump into
The rainbow;
And everything seems
More beautiful

New tunes and melodies
Are sung in hearts;
And everything becomes
More beautiful

"Write,
"Young ones;
"Teach
"The elders"

It was born
A painting;
It was made
An inspiration

    This was amazing. I think that eveyrone on here can relate to this. You did such a great job and truly gave poetry justice. Poetry is so much to so many people. To me it's sort of thearpy and gives me a chance to vent. I really enjoy reading some good poetry and this is diffently it!

    thoughtful. we are all here to write poetry but we never write about it and what it is. we explore love, happiness and death but not poetry itself. I hope you win this was great.

    On the its dance floor
    My keyboard
    Look at them dance

    They say when I poet writes about poetry, he/she has been completely consumed by the beauty of the art. Well done and good luck in the contest. i don't know the particulars, but you seem to have a solid entry.

    You say quite alot in your words here, but the message I like the most is this....

    For we all
    Learn every second
    Of every minute
    Of every hour
    Of every day
    Of every week
    ...
    In other words
    We will never stop learning

    This is so true! and if we stop learning we tend to forget what we have already learned. The young learn wisdom from the elders, and the elders learn from the younger as youth are fresh and more open to change.
    You make great observations of society in this piece...and also I see the biblical wisdom. All the best in the contest...GBU for spreading some insight
