Last night in my living room,
You called me an angel
Said that you were
Gifted, so so, gifted,
I just laughed
And thought to myself,
How silly you are,
Behind those hats of yours,
How, perfect and beautiful
You really are
Yet,
I knew,
As I stared
Into your eyes
Something
Was living inside
That smiling face,
Ready to steal you,
Right from my fingertips,
I wondered
Why something so ugly
Would try to take something
So
Perfect,
Beautiful,
And sweet
I smile a little smile
To assure you
And you throw your head back
Lauging up butterflies and gumdrops,
So perfect
The butterflies
Soar around your head
And the dust from thier wings
Fall onto your
Eyelashes,
The sugar from the gumdrops
Land on your lips,
I'll kiss it better,
I'll whisper it away,
Paul,
My everything,
