A Family Christmas

It is an early December morn,
snowflakes are drifting by,
snow blankets the meadow,
Autumn is saying goodbye.

Stores are busy with shoppers,
time to trim the Christmas tree,
get kissed under the mistletoe,
spend  time with your family.

Read children Christmas stories,
visit Santa Claus at the store,
tell them the true meaning,
how it is about so much more.

Take time to help the homeless,
share with the less fortunate too,
we all must think of the poor,
it is the Christian thing to do.

Be blessed with good tidings,
throughout the coming new year,
send warm season's greetings,
to  dear friends far and near.

As you place the  baby angel,
atop the twinkling evergreen tree,
hold hands and thank the Lord,
His only son died for you and me.
