Face of a Woman

~Why do her eyes seem so sad?~
~What pain has touched her that her once sweet complexion is ~ow tired and worn?~
~Those sagging bags have parked beneath her lighthouse eyes~
~She moves with a burden, invisible to us all~
~Her feet drag; its sound haunts me like a nightmare~
~Sweet lady, where has your alabaster skin gone?~
~Who has drawn the lines that adorn her hard, wind kissed face?~
~Who touched your heart and left trails of tears on your cheek?~
~Where did that frown come from? ~
~When did it appear?~
