Exquisitely with a yawning heart,
tenderized by passage of time.
ephemeral gladness of your youth,
replaces all past acts of crime.
nudging its way into your thoughts,
ardor supersedes the pain gone by.
lavishing you with a gentle comfort,
Imbued by tears you'll no longer cry.
captured in a moment of brumous dreams,
echoes of laughter no longer cause you dread.
Quivering from a spirit that teases,
unconcerned of shadows malingering ahead.
expelled is the terror you once beheld,
ejected happiness is subtly on display.
necessitating you to accept from your friends,
~best wishes for a grand birthday.

'Dear Sam,
I don't know Raven Aurora other than from her writings and I learned from these that she has had a far from easy life. Your poem underlines this and would seem to be a very fitting tribute to her as I'm sure it is.
As a poem it is very well written indeed with some adroit usage of words (I love "brumous" = wintry, foggy, and will try to use it in conversation to impress my friends!).
A well written birthday poem and a delicious looking cake.
Applause, love and hugs, XXX Hugh.'.

Am I really so lazy as to not keep up with my friends... or is it just because you post a million times a day? lol
I adore this, and am going to print it and post it on my wall to keep as a reminder that not only do you care about lil' ol' me (and many others) greatly, but also a prayer that the next year will be a much happier one filled with light and hope. You always inspire me, whether the subject matter is me, another person, an experience from your own life, etc. You are truly an earth angel!
~love you always~
