Wishing, longing, hoping
will never set you free.
It's the greatest sort of pain
that your heart will ever see.
"I love him, he can't love me"
yes, that's sad without a doubt.
And there's a time to obsess
to go and sulk, to go and pout.
But then there comes a moment
when enough is plain enough.
So the feelings are not mutual
time to get over, time to get tough.
Every moment spent on delusion
is a glance you give to Pain.
Each futile thought for naught
is one more step to being inane.
Save yourself from all the nonsense
doubt on one end means no chance.
For when there's "YES!" from two hearts fated
you'll understand what's true romance.

You don't agree that people need to grieve and feel pain, but then they need to move on? Not sure if it was clear in the poem, but that's basically what it's about. It was personal at the time...hehe. Thanks for reading it!

I don't really agree to the idea but I enjoyed the poe really much, the words are well chosen and it all flws well. Also, the rhye and rhythm are great. Nice job.

I think you did an excellent job Lara. This poem explains a lot without being overly long. I think there is a lot of truth here too. I think anyone can benefit from reading this poem. Thanks Lara.

How true this all is. And very deep, makes me think so much. Scares me a little.
But I completely love it. I was already missing AllPoetry. *sniff* Take care!
