To My Lady Love

When I first met you, I was unsure,
who you really were inside
Then after weeks, I saw love speak,
through the windows of your eyes

For I've been hurt, and my guard was up,
but you loved me even so
And then I knew, your love was true,
and I'd never let you go

My inside melts, as you reveal,
a soul mate you found in me
With each touch, I feel so much,
your lovely heart of loyalty

Contentment you never show with us,
always wanting me more
With arms wide open always still,
even stronger than before

Caressing hearts with just a gaze,
entwining our paths of two
Uplifting words whispered softly,
I really love you for you

Living this dream, I create for us,
your heart I do adore
To make sweet love, as one we soar,
in love forevermore

Within Amour and Je’tadore

Timothy , once again the words of love just poured out . You make it seem as easy as a paint by number picture . I can do some poetry , but that really mushy , romantic kind of thing....I just do not seem able to get it down on paper , so I will just enjoy reading yours thx for sharing it ,

well courtly love poetry a great movement in the 1600's and still going... when will it ever tire i guess angst is there too... but anyways loved this one no matter what i just said before i'll never tire of courtly love poetry as it was the most origional form of free thought writing the first was song story and verse when we had to learn the story by singing it...
and i liked your use of emotion thoughout this poem particularly

This was such a sweet and endearing write, so full of tenderness and romance...le sigh...there is nothing more wonderful than seeing love a'bloom...except when it's done like this..touching and riveting...I do adore a real man that's not afraid to wear his heart on his sleeve!

This was truly beautiful actully made me cry cuz it was so loving but that may also have to do with the fact I just had a fight with my b/f. OH well. Anyways this was very beautiful and very sweet. Sounds like you have on lucky lady or are you the lucky one? I guess it really goes both ways Anyways wonderful write. I really enjoyed this.

Creativity: I don't think you were all that creative. You weren't all that descriptive, and I found that you were merely writing phrases you've heard before. 3/10

Innovation: How can you be innovative when you are merely being cliched? With that said, the stanza are unique. 3.5/10

Technique: There's nothing to be seen here. I don't feel as though you are putting a whole lot of thought in your work. 2/10

Readability: Everything is terse, to the point, and easy to read. This is actually something you did well. 7/10

Emotionality: You got the puppy dog factor going for you, but I felt the sentimentality was too overwhelming. 5/10
