Every time we are together
It all comes rushing back
Not just alive but really living
One with such beauty, I'm taken aback
When I say beauty I don't mean her outer
Though that description would be precise
But it is overshadowed by her inner
Such a beauty, on its own, would entice
Put together they create perfection
And, amazingly, she is all mine
But, more importantly I am all hers
A Love that is truly divine
Then, in an instant, it all disappears
I have awaken to realize
That again I am no longer living
And I must return to real life
We once had a life together
But we were young, what else could we do
So we parted, our paths were much different
All I could do was stumble my way through
So I pray each night I'll be dreaming
And those dreams reunite me and you
For I am living only while sleeping
And awake, my life I just rue
