The Sights And Sounds Of Christmas

All the stores are full of shoppers,
the sounds of Christmas fill the air,
Santa is checking his Christmas list,
Christmas eve will soon be here.

The nativity stands in the church yard,,
baby Jesus is asleep in the hay,
everyone is stringing Christmas lights,
to help Old St. Nick find his way.

The mailman is bringing holiday cheer,
Christmas cards bring wishes to you,
full of love from friends and family,
they all wish a merry Christmas to you.

The high school chorus will sing carols,
Kindergarten will put on a Christmas play,
a holiday parade with a marching band,
followed by Santa in his big red sleigh.

Many churches will help the homeless,
and others who have lost there way,
serving Christmas dinner to the hungry,
count your blessings on Christmas day.

All the sights and sounds of the season,
fill all our heart with yuletide cheer,
never forget the true meaning of Christmas,
Christ was born this time of the year.
