It is midnight at the North Pole,
Santa is about to start his run,
he cracks the reins for Rudolph,
Santa's yearly trip has begun.
His bag is full of holiday cheer,
for all the good girls and boys
It is full of peppermint candy canes
rocking horses and all kinds of toys.
The tree sparkles with gold garland,
each ornament is tired on with a bow.
outside a light snow begins to fall,
a window reflects the candle's glow.
Santa's sleigh has seen many miles,
his trip around the world is done,
he knows it is time to head for home,
on the horizon is the rising sun.
Santa is ready for a long winter nap,
he plops down in his big easy chair.
falling asleep with his red suit on,
he is so tired he doesn't care.
The elves look after all the reindeer,
Santa is snoring by dawns early light,
Rudolph turns off his shiny red nose,
Merry Christmas Santa, good night.
