While Reading In Prison

I was watching a documentary about this
guy that wrote a book, and then disappeared.
He never wrote again; then I thought about
The time I'd spent in prison. I thought about
the time my father spent in prison. And then
I quickly dismissed it all as coincidence. I
hate making comparisons. I fucked up, and
that's all there is to it.

[Now Here Is Poetry]

"Sure I have friends...
But something is dead."

[Willy Wilder]

I've been around
I am Tom Cat
fat on the lid
Of the can
In unison
A man
Bent on
Radiation
And Space
Travel for all
That can Read
The signs of hope

"Now, how about a hand shandy?"

[Prince Fred]

I read a lot, about all kinds of things.
It's what keeps me sane by the pool.
When the golf course is too crowded
And the dry cleaning's still wet.
I bet, you won't get, my poetry.

Very slap in the face and again no holds barred! Since I have many friends from many walks of life; a few in prison too, I really caught on to this piece and its layered meaning. Another excellent little poet diddy horus8!

Another mind bender, Jeremi. I sometimes don't fully comprehend your writing but it's always interesting, intriguing. This one, no exception to that.
Your poetry always leaves me feeling that I've come to know another little bit of you. Sometimes it brings a tear, sometimes a smile, sometimes even both, as this one did
This piece leaves me thinking, thinking what it must be like to know you've fucked up enough to land yourself in prison....maybe there's just the caught and the uncaught?... and the degree of fucking up is a matter of opinion?
Whatever, I enjoyed this piece for it's feeling of hope and realization.
Maybe not as you meant it to be, but my perception. A very interesting write

Get it or not, you still write some things that make you think, or laugh your ass off! None the less it's all good stuff you read!

Hiya, I don't know if I quite 'got' this piece - I don't understand the '[prince fred] and [willy wilder] bits or the way it jumps from one format to the other but I am sure that it is just me being slow or maybe to shallow to grasp what you are saying. I was intrieged by the idea of someone who wrote a book, disappeared and then never wrote again so thanks for making me think.
