The Love Chapter

Speaking tongues of man
without love are but a wind
or clanging symbol

Faith that moves mountains
without love is but nothing,
nothing is to gain.

Love requires patience
Love is kind without envy
nor boasting or proud.

Love seeks not its self
nor is it rude or angry.
Love always forgives

Love detests evil
but rejoices in the truth.
It protects and trusts,

hopes and perserveres.
Love cannot fail; it stills tongues.
Love; the best virtue.

Nice synopsis of the love chapter - pretty much covered it. Now if only more people would practice this kind of love!

    Best wishes,
    Moses

I thought those words were a guideline. I saw the part that requested a biblical verse be retold in poetic form and that is exactly what this poem is. The love chapter 13 from 1 chronicles retold in the westernized haiku format.

This is very well written, but you don't have what i asked for in your poem, i asked for the words Lord, God, Pray and Amen. but good job overall.

I missed you so much. This was long awaited.

I really needed to read this. It is like the voice of someone tempted who turns and answers the temptor...not with anger...but with sureness. This poem is what she'd say.
    Thanks,

    Excellent

Absinthe, you did an excellent job of converting scripture to poetic verse, delivering an urgent message to a world that has no idea what is love. Well done, poet and I'm so glad to see a new poem by you!

Have a great weekend, hon, and know that you are much loved.

    Love and hugs, Bon
