Happy Birthday AppyAngel!

Missing image
by Gregg Rowe

Happy Birthday to AppyAngel
Who is turning twenty-eight
I hope that all your dreams come true
To have a child, find a mate
Until that day happens, dear one
Enjoy today and eat your bloody cake!

AppyAngel is turning twenty-seven
Oh, dear, it seems I made a mistake
It really gives her an extra year
To find this special mate
Yet, it doesn't take away the fact
That she still deserves this chocolate cake!

Author notes

Okay, I know that this contest ws not suppose to be serious and the original stanza was a combination of what she wrote on the contest page and then going to her home page.  It was the IM that I recieved from her saying that she is turning twenty-seven that I had to add the second stanza!  Gregg

This was great even though you got her age wrong . That is okay though since you made it up to her in the second stanza. You are a wonderful writer hun. Jody

Gregg You got her age wrong Silly oh well the second stanza was comical it made the poem even better. So I guess the mistake overall helped the poem into something humerous and wonderful as always. Good to hear from ya

AppyAngel: My dear apologies about your age, when I looked on your home page the age said twenty-seven so I figured you were turning twenty-eight so I am going to revise it a bit. Gregg
