Life had been a journey on a one way street,
going nowhere except heartbreak hotel,
my heart lay on the floor in little pieces,
my life seemed like a nightmare in Hell.
Each new path I chose was a dead end street,
going nowhere my future was dark and bleak,
I could no longer resist all the temptations,
the Devil was calling my soul, now I was weak,
I did not know where my life was heading,
each morning never caring where I had been,
I had lived my life without God's presence,
drowning my sorrow and heartache in sin.
The Devil had taken me down the road to Hell,
I could hear the flames calling out to me,
my life seemed to be at the end of it's journey,
fire and brimstone would become my destiny.

This was very well written. I like the route you took with my theme. I feel the bleakness of this poem. I would have liked to see you add some lines about what the outcome was, are you still on that road to hell? but all in all very good write nice imagery good use of vocabulary. good luck in my contest
