Soul Mate

Missing image
It seems in this world I've been touched by fate
because I know I've found my soul mate.
In such a short time deep love had grown
and you have touched my heart in ways almost unknown.
Ways in which I cannot explain
except two hearts that fit together like the links of a chain.
Never have I felt so complete
and I know you felt the same way every time I heard your heartbeat.
Locked inside your loving embrace
I've never been in a more beautiful place.
Everything it is we made each other feel
only true love could be this real.
Passionate love that raged out of control
each of us connected to the other's soul.
You opened up your heart and let me come inside
and there my love for you will reside.
You've touched me in so deep of a way
I know that my love for you will forever stay.
The many wonderful evenings together we spent
the world to me they meant.
So it seems by destiny two hearts and souls are bound
in this perfect love that we have found.

    Not sure about the syllable count, and thus the rythm, with the ryhme scheme, your counting has to be tight, but then it is also a challenge for the reader to find the most natural way to read the poem. Perhaps some commas to help out? The overall effect, of the ryhmes and sometimes controlled beat, make this poem enjoyable. It's just that, there is not one stand out line, not one image that makes you think ahhhhhhhhhhhhh, yes, indeed it is so.

    Wow this is a very strong,emotional and wonderful love poem....I love it alot.Never have I seen a poem with so much of emotions.....Keep it up......

    These lines have touched my heart...it's sooooo good that I can not desribe it any other way.

    I love it a lot. Why? I feel the exact same way about my boyfriend and I. It hasn't even been 3 months since we've started dating and already we are head over heels for each other. Some say it's puppy love but that was all of our relationships before and we know this is as real as your poem says. He's my everything and you put those feelings so well into your poem. Again, I love it. Great great great job.

    This is beautiful! I love it and it is so sweet, I can't wait till I fall in love like that, I have before but it didn't work out...but this was an awesome piece very well written with alot of emotion...keep it up great job!

    MAGNIFICENT This is so touching and very loving..It read smoothly to the very end....and the end was PERFECT. I love endings that just complete the poem and this did. Your rhyming was flawless and every word fit great into the rhyme...BRAVO!!!!! GOOD LUCK in the contest but you do not need luck because this is simple wonderful! Very Talented!

    Thats an awesome poem . the beginning reminds me of this kid who i really like. I feel complete jsut talking to him anbd people say im too young to be in love but i don't think so because you can't help the way you feel. Nice poem
