Christmas magic from up above
As the air filters flakes
Coming from heaves sort of
Brings the magic to child of drum brakes
To the music of the horn
Or the clang of the drum
Santa is filled the air to adorn
Your family snuggled around the fireplace forlorn
Tinsel on the tree
And train whistling of winter
Found under the Christmas jubilee
As you open the surprise in store
On trial run fun of a sprinter
Leaping over hurdles to packages on the floor
Your parents smiling of joy
As they welcome the day with hot drinks
And warming themselves to the real McCoy's
As the day is filled with smells to blink
Of Christmas stockings filled with candy
Gingerbread people close
To the peppermint sticks come real handy
Filling the day with snow on the nose

You made me think of how perfect it all used to be, a simpler time though there may be kids who experience this now. I hope so.
