Missing image

Often, when writing the mood swings
from sadness and bitterness.. to hopeful;

Is it the mind, pulling us back to
reality... and reason?

Do we write from the heart or the head?
...is there any difference?

As words pour forth with unrestrained
fury..... anger evaporates;

Cleansing thoughts, fill the void, which
would otherwise fester.... and destroy;

Love and warmth comfort our efforts
so freely given... as comments

And as we take our applause and bow
...we should be in awe......humbled...

    I love this piece!
    The title and the De Chirico painting go together very well! Good choice! They set a strong, tense atmosphere. And then the gentle philosophical reflections...well written!
    About the content of this poem...Now, personally I do not believe in an overall objective Reality, so I am never dragged out or in of it. My Reality is here all the time and All is part of it. Poetry (and Art in general) certainly is. That is what I write about too. So, for me, there is no split between mind, reason, heart and feeling.
    It is all One.
    Me. My Reality.
    But you have raised these valid questions elegantly!
    Cheers!

    Awsome...
    There's something about unrestrained writing that's really a big relief like that, huh?

    Thank you Yes I agree with you... I have to write and I also have to read other poets work, it often inspires the "Muse" that often dangles just out of reach Thank you for commenting and I wish you well in your work

    Thank you for your very kind comments , I do appreciate them.... As for not being able to write in this fashion, I am sure you could I write as I feel and never stop to re-read, this way I get first impressions from readers... Then when they have read I will often watch for their suggestions as to what might improve the poem... if it works, I will use their suggestions, if not... I dont I am not to proud as to reject any help I can get...Many here are brilliant poets, so we are so lucky to be able to draw from their strengths... Keep writing and learning and have a ball!!!

    this is amazing. I wanted to copy and paste the second verse, but then as I read on the lines just got better. You expressed it really really well. I know the feeling of how writing and venting feels really good (I think all of us here do. but I can never write it in this fashion. what an eloquent piece.

    Keep writing.
