Me the single Red Rose
Symbol of love, respect & courage
Oh what a burden to bare.
Given not just through my beauty
Some of my ancestral history I shall share.
Long before the day of Valentine
Around the time of Solomon.
I have been a symbol and linked to love
Me the single Red Rose, sacred to Venus
and connected to Cupid, the bow wielding cherub.
Strewn through palaces
My petals filled water fountains.
Yes, it was Cleopatra who contributed to my fame
There was no expense spared
For her lover Mark Anthony she did entertain.
My ancestors conversed with the Latin
Adorning Rose chaplets upon their head
As they ate, drank and gossiped
Known as the "Sub Rosa" or under the rose
With the understanding kept secret or tight lipped.
As you see in my history
Me, the single Red Rose has meaning
To conclude my past, bringing me to today
I am a symbol, something special
Not just Compost left to wilt away.

Yep well I seriously don't know why or where this came from.... It just happened, needing alot more done to it.... Cause it pretty much SUX
