Hearing something in the distance
I just ignored it at first
Which I knew was my first mistake
Mother told me never to do that
Soon after I heard loud shots
And dogs barking
I didn't know what to do at first
It's like I forgot everything mom taught me
After a second of shock it all kicked in
But it was a second to late
I heard rustling in the bushes right to the left of me
I knew I had to run fast
But could I run faster than those dogs?
Yes, I am a fox
But my hind leg is sore from play fighting with my brother
Am I ever going to see him again?
So many things are going through my head
Okay, I need to think clearly
RUN
There right behind me, shit
Those dogs can really put on a run
I'm safe now though
I found a burrow to hide in
I hope no one's home
