Come on America,
We enjoyed the joke last time around,
But this time
It isn't funny any more.
I'll refrain from saying
you get what you deserve.
Instead I'll just sit back
And wait for the world to end.
We enjoyed the joke last time around,
But this time
It isn't funny any more.
I'll refrain from saying
you get what you deserve.
Instead I'll just sit back
And wait for the world to end.

What is it that the Americans see in that man that the whole of the rest of the world doesn't?

True
I would point out a certain part that I liked, but I loved the whole thing. I completely agree with you, and it was a very good write. -
hey, a new write!
I like this and was wondering the same thing today. Can't believe it happened again.
"as the fools
are fooled
again"
- charles bukowski, this
great write.

Not all Americans. I for one sit here just as amazed .. wondering the same exact question .. it wasn't a majority it was basically a dead heat in the popular vote but that doesn't really count .. it's the obscure electoral college numbers that count.
I'm depressed as hell today .. I love my country as much as anyone and I didn't vote for him.
Peace

Of course my foreign opinions matter not, foreigner that I am, so of course I have no right to say that a certain foreign country has just voted again for the most isolationist, bellicose, arrogant and unlistening regime of modern times.
And for those who voted Democrat yesterday - sorry: God knows you tried.
By the way Mr Case: we foreigners still vote on policy, not on the supposed godliness of candidates - call me old fashioned if you like.
Well said by the way.
-
Well, do foreign opinions really matter? It's our election. No offense, but I get tired of hearing about all these people hating us no matter what we do. The dark, gritty fact of the matter is that neither of these men are gods.
-
I'm assuming this is in regards to the presidential election results...
I don't keep up with politics, but of course I do vote and try to make informed decisions as to whom I vote for, even if it's last minute cramming. As for this election... I personally feel we had the choice of who we felt told the least amount of lies...not very good criteria, huh.
Your poem here seems to hold a lot of what many of us feel. Keep our fingers crossed that some good comes of it all??...maybe that's all we can do at the moment. I guess we should be thankful that there's some people out there who really do put forth an effort to make things good for all of us so the disinterested non-political people like me can sit back and hope for the best. I know.. not a good way for me to be but ....
Good piece, and I enjoyed the read.

Nicely expressed...
The way you said that you'll wait for the world to end... somehow gives the poem its whole feeling!!
Kewl!!

Ah, I see what you mean. I don't understand it myself, and I live here. *sighs* And, I just heard that the other conceded... guess time will tell, huh?
