Rhyming in the Rain

Words may come and words may go;
the feelings still remain.
All the things that you may know
mean nothing in the rain.

Love may rise and Love may fall;
its echo lingers on ~
painful tears may take your All;
you blink, and then they're gone.

Hope may dance and Hope may sing ~
it wants you to join in;
The Time spent lost in dreaming
will let your Heart begin.

We may laugh and we may cry ~
it's part of Life, you know.
Ours is not to reason why;
we're just here for the Show.

Time is here and Time is now;
don't waste your every breath ~
we're not here to wonder how ~
Living means more than death.

Love will wash you clean and pure
and leave you feeling fine;
The Rainbow will appear for sure
and then your Soul will shine...

    a bit philosophical with an undercurrent flow of sadness and willingly or unwillingly submitting to fate and the inevitable course of time and events...as usual another wonderful piece from you...

    this is a wonderful poem

    If only we could see it this way, we would have so much more fun:
    We may laugh and we may cry ~
    it's part of Life, you know.
    Ours is not to reason why;
    we're just here for the Show.

    Thanks for reading...but the capitals aren't errors; they're intentional...a la Emily Dickinson...I capitalize specific words to give emphasis & distinction...for example: 'I love pizza/my Love is infinite'...'I hope you feel better/my Hope is in you'...like so...I know; it has been a point of contention before...Thanks for your Time...(see???) Don't mind me; macrame'd humor...LOL Be well, Poet... Wanda

    I like it. It's very cute. The background is perfect! Don't change it! Thanks for entering and good luck! There are a few puncuation errors. You have a lot of capitals in where they don't need to be, other than that, It's good. Good luck!

    Serenity...

    Dear Wanda, all the things I love in this little poem: Rain, words, rainbow, soul, sunshine...ah, this made me think of my childhood days when I always used to run barefeet in the rain and my mother calling me in! Rainbows...build a beautiful bridge between heaven and earth....thank you for this colourful light and for making me feel "fine"!! Take care, dear poet friend
