Youthful Fountain

I'm a slave to the crave
That I possess inside
It waits for me
To forget its name
It watches and hopes
For a weakening sign
It sometimes coaches
my willpower.

Train of thought
Even the genius overlooks
The colors in the sky
This pain is forever
As the trash we create
To cover with dirt
And postpone
Our own fate
Drink yourself
When next you cum
I'm the same
I'm my own mate.

When tenseness proceeds
Your indirect needs
And into the dark
Your willingness leads
I know the place
Our dark twin seeks
Loving to stab a vein
Turned to eye
Never to ask
A simplified why.

This year I'm to die
No twenty-four
Because of a whore
I felt the tape
Warping my pores
They're leaving in numbers
Or rather like scores
Thousands of losers
Running a race
I'm holding their water
And hating this chase

So what if February
Will not be my friend?
My ties are few
And these feelings
Will mend
I wish I could
Understand
This gigantic façade
I'd like to just touch
The truth is too much
And so I'll just try
To make out a picture
To form a mere sight
To bring out some goodness
To give us some light
Onto this trauma
That we all face
This unwanted yearning
To win the death race.

THe lyrics have some identifiable ideas but plaited together in an original way. I tried to listen but it wasn't found on the server. Will try another. Wish I could applaud but I am out of points. The pathway from start to finish was a journey that a song really needs.

    good job

I like it. And don't ask me why, because I don't feel that intuitive right now. Youthful has one "l" though. All in all, good job.

The death race line is a metaphor for the fountain of youth,
you know, why do we race through life trying to live forever?
hence, the title of the song.
As for the rest of the piece. It's a spoken word musical number
off of my third album, so you'd have to hear, to get it
Which is probably why there's a link in the
    author's comments.

Unique but I didn't know death was a race to me I thought most of us dread death except for those few people that think their lives our pointless and miserable. I kind of understand this poem but the words to me didn't feel powerful it needed more emotion I didn't really understand it maybe because I'm just not reading carefully well nice job anyway this has great imagery.
