Viagra For The Mind

Viagra for the Mind

I think what we need
in this world
is a cure for
cerebral erectile dysfunction,
also know as
dickheaditis

Viagra for the mind,
as it were.

Impotence of the intellect
rears its ugly little head
all over this world
ejaculating prematurely
with sterile verbiage
Or not

Wars are precipitated over this
as are many other
crimes against wisdom
LARGE and small

It would appear
at times
that being outrageous
is enough validation to warrant
an audience

Fighting for peace
is like fucking for chastity

Viagra for the mind,
let’s hope it arrives soon

Author notes

At times when I read the newspaper and see all that goes on in this world I just shake my head and wonder how we got here. I see madness swirling all around us, where will it end?
This then is my attempt to express and vent some of that frustration.

yah lots of people are so selfish, weve screwed this world up really bad and we havnt yet opened our eyes and seen what we have truly done. was well put, + i enjoyed the humour + it was a good poem, just apart from subject.

    LOL vigra for the mind?
I liked that concept and like you said a world of swirling madness we sometimes live in. The only thing to do, invent vigra for the mind! Go to it! You know what this world needs :)

Didn't you know it's fashioable to be thick, dyslexic and just downright ignorant.. 'i can't spell, so it doesn't matter'..of course it bloody matters, if you have that attitude at 18 then you are on a slippery slope...ooops sorry..got carried away..
This is a really nice piece..

Yes their are so many people who have to rethink their way of comfortably living. Those that are content with their flat way of thinking will never grow.

    Hi ferg,
i agree with the sentiment completely,
but, to me, the poem reads kindof clunky,
like a shot from the hip

funny how legal prescriptions kill people each and every day but the street drug pusher gets locked up for taking someone to a better place
not that i am a drug user of either type but it is getting ridiculous, tv commercials tell us what to ask our doctors for in medicine and then give a long list of afteraffects like diaareah, headache, upper respitory infection.... blah blah blah
time for me to check out of this crazy world we live
i like the simple life myself, no news is allowed! LOL

Novel idea! Great way to deal with your frustration! I agree, the world is getting crazier every day...we need to grow bigger brain cells to solve the problem! We need to put our heads together, so to speak! *smile*

LOL but I like my mind all squishy and soft and I don't have a penis and I have too much testosterone anyway I think though dickheads surely you would want to lessen their impact rather than stimulate their annoying behavious and ramrod ideas that are thrust and pointed in the face of the world maybe they need access to their own anal retentativeness then they can spend their lives six feet up their own five inch lives and leave the rest of us alone or something in that style of imagining um er visions I have nasty visions help I think I need a condom for the safe thinking practices :)
