Spirit of the Sea

Missing image
Dancing, in tandem, as lithe as
any ballerina; Performing their
underwater ballet, to music of
an aquatic nature ;

Their voices, individual and precise;
With a softness within families;
Talking, to all that will listen to
their busy chatter .

Companionship, is what they crave;
With their gentle expressions,
and fin waving, they gain the hearts of
humans;

For who else could walk
on water.........................?

    I love this...and the picture is very cute. Such a sweet poem, short but with plenty of meaning. I especially like how you ended this with a question. It really added a lot to the whole poem.

    Thank you for your kind comment on my poem "Inspired (For Night Hope)"...I appreciate your time.

    What a perfect description. Particularly liked the lack of sentimentality we often see where dolphins are concerned. The last line succintly expresses that mystery they hold, that superior being-ness.
